3D Artist: texturing

Who is this course for?

for hardened

Become a versatile artist! We’ll teach you how to enhance your models with stylized PBR textures. After the course, your works will look at the level of high-budget projects.

Highlight the details of your work – learn how to apply advanced texturing techniques to create realistic surfaces and materials. This course will help you stand out among other artists and become an expert in the field of 3D texturing.

Stages of creating a 3D model:

Blocking

At this stage, the basic shape of the model is created, which helps determine the proportions and overall structure.

sculpting

The process of adding details to the basic shape of the model. As a result, we get “high poly” (a detailed model with a large number of polygons)

retopology

Reworking the geometry of the model to optimize its polygonal mesh. This is an important process for creating a low poly model suitable for animation and rendering.

Baking

Baking involves transferring “high poly” to “low poly”. This allows you to save all the small details, while reducing the number of polygons.

texturing

The final stage, where the model receives its colors, materials and surface details.

Texturing is the process of creating materials and textures for 3D objects. This item is the last on the list, but far from the most important. The final look of the model depends on the texture, and what impression it will make on the user.

There are different styles and approaches when creating textures, including Hard-Painted, PRB, Stylized, Photorealistic, Pixel Art and Cel-Shading. On the course, we will consider a mixture of the first three, because they are the most vivid and in demand ?.

course program

Students gradually gain access to recorded video lessons (30-90 minutes), after which they perform practical homework.

  • “I would like to say thank you for what you do. It was my first time making textures with manual input of patterns. I am very happy with the result that I got and thank you for that. Cool format with short videos, but maximally effective in terms of knowledge and techniques, I will wait for your next courses”
